General information

Lagkada Beach Kythira: Lagkada (or Kakia Lagkada) is a beautiful beach close to Agia Pelagia, right next to Firi Ammos and Kalamitsi. Access to the beach is through a dirt road from Agia Pelagia. This large beach is surrounded by high cliffs and in fact it is the end of Lagkada Gorge, a frequent climbing spot in Kythira. The relaxing ambience and the crystal water make it a fabulous place to swim, as the water of Lagkada are continuously awarded the Blue Flag.

On one side of the beach, there is a beach bar that also offers sun beds and umbrellas. In summer, beach volleyball tournaments are organized, fire nights on the beach and certainly the Barbarossa Days with piratic contests, as in the Medieval ages, the legendary pirate Barbarossa had slaughtered the residents of Paleochora, located above the beach of Lagkada.

    Very Decent
Kakia Langada is very close to Agia Pelagia, with a short distance having to be passed by a dirt road.
It has one facility on the beach, is pretty decent in size and has nice water.

It is perfect for those who took a hike through the gorge and need a nice refreshment.
