Kefalonia Avithos beach

General information

Avithos Beach in Kefalonia offers a long, narrow, sand-filled shore with golden colors, along with gorgeous crystal-clear waters! Though it does have some pebbles at the very entrance of the beach, a soft sandy seabed follows, making it a relaxing swim with limited deep-sea rocks. Also, it can often be a temporary host to lovely sea turtles!

It is a semi-organized beach destination surrounded by an abundance of sunbeds, parasols, and a beach bar that offers quick snacks and drink choices, playing upbeat tunes throughout the day! Rich vegetation can also be found right next to the shore, plus a few restaurants/taverns are also available within a short distance. Moreover, Avithos is best known for its mesmerizing views of the island of Dias and its small uphill church.
