General information

Frikes Beach Ithaca: Frikes is an attractive beach, lying in front of a beautiful settlement, 18 km north of Vathy, the capital of Ithaca. Frikes receives hordes of tourists during the high season for the beautiful crystalline waters and the gorgeous backdrop of lush mountains. The seashore is a delight, while the towering presence on the left side offers a soothing shade and at the same time protects the beach from the western winds.

The beach has no tourist facilities but you don't have to carry many things with you as trees provide enough shade. In the lovely settlement of Frikes you will find plenty of rooms available for the tourists. Many taverns and bars operate during the summer season. Frikes is connected by ferry to Fiscardo, the beautiful town of Kefalonia.

    No words to describe Frikes
Frikes is one of the best beaches on Ithaca. Picturesque and clean with a wonderful, sandy coast. Better go early in the morning or late in the evening to avoid much crowd. You will love this beach, it is my best memory from Ithaca. It was just sad to see so many abandoned cars on the way to Frikes, please get rid of them, as they spoil the whole romantic atmosphere.
