Serious problems were caused in Corfu after the extreme weather conditions that hit the island the last days. The fire brigade has received so far more than 150 calls for water pumping, while they also had to help in trappings inside houses and cars.
The huge storms also caused rock slidings and minor damages in villages on the western side of the island. The locals say that these are the worst weather conditions on Corfu for the last 40 years. According to the Greek National Meteorological Institute, these phenomena will weaken today and the temperature will vary at about 8-20oC.
