Varkarola Festival

Varkarola Festival is a spectacular event taking place at Paleokastritsa Corfu! Its goal is to revive the local traditions and amuse the audience through truly impressive performances. According to the myth, Poseidon, the God of the Sea, sinked the ship of Odysseus because the last blinded his son, Cyclops Polyphemus. After that, Odysseus was washed out at the beautiful coast of Corfu. Alkinoos, the king of Corfu, was so impressed by his adventures that offered him a ship, to return to his home in Ithaka. This story is represented at Valkarola festival, followed by fireworks that light up the sky and a feast at the beach!
So, get ready for the most unique summer event in Corfu!
