Corfu meets the UK at Beer Festival

Oct 08, 2014 — Oct 12, 2014 • Category: Events

Corfu Beer Festival will take place for the second year, from October 8th to 12th, 2014, at the grounds of Corfu Beer, a microbrewery based in Arillas, on the north western side of the island. With the participation of five guest brewers from the UK and many evening events, the festival will be once more a pole of attraction for locals and visitors.
This annual event is a great chance to experience different cultures, cuisine and entertainment. England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales will be represented in this festival, with the subtitle Corfu meets the UK. Last year, the festival was subtitled Corfu meets Bavaria, Germany.
The Little Beer Corporation (England), The Kelburn Brewing Company (Scotland), Conwy Brewery (Wales), Everards Brewery (England) and The Galway Bay Brewery (Ireland) will work with Corfu Beer and produce their own beers using the equipment at the premises of the microbrewery. These beers will then be offered to the guests along with a large menu of English and Greek dishes.
Every evening, there will be live entertainment with dances and bands from the UK and Greece, covering all kind of music, from Corfiot traditional to rock and pop. Among the groups making their performances will be the Celtic Storm that is Ireland's leading Irish Dance troupe, the Arillas Cultural Club, the Pagi Cultural Club and the Epirotic Society of Corfu.
