Corfiot Awards 2009

A special event will take place tomorrow night, Wednesday April 22nd, in the Municipal Theatre of Corfu as the 2009 Corfiot awards will be given to honour the best Corfiot in many categories. Such categories include prizes for the best Corfiot artist (painter, actor, singer, etc), the best Radio Station, the best Local Newspaper, the best Website, the best Club, the Corfiot Literature Person of the Year and many others. The aim of this event is to honour the people of the island and encourage them to continue their good work. The Corfiot Person to Specially Honor is late famous acrtress Rena Vlachopoulou. The event will start at 9 p.m. and will be broadcasted by the Internet.
