General information

Lefkimmi (or Lefkimi) is a large town in southeastern Corfu, housing about 5000 permanent residents. It functions as the main town of southern Corfu, while it features the second port on the island, connecting it to Igoumenitsa!

This town has lush greenery and beautiful surroundings, but it is full of old buildings, some of which are in poor condition. However, even the uninhabited houses help in creating a traditional feeling around Lefkimmi! Furthermore, the Lefkimi River crosses through the town (splitting it in half), meaning that the area is also home to plenty of fishermen! In addition, Lefkimmi is equipped with schools, museums, church buildings, gorgeous temples, and a KTEL bus stop connecting it to Corfu Town!

Regarding tourist facilities, Lefkimmi has its own fair share of snack bars, restaurants, gift shops, and supermarkets, as well as a handful of rooms, holiday homes, and villa apartments to rent, most of which are situated near the town center or by the river! Also, there is little nightlife in the town center, enough so that you do not need to leave town in order to party all night long!
