Barbati Corfu: The beautiful coastal settlement of Barbati is situated 19 km north of Corfu Town. It lies around the natural bay, one of the most impressive beaches of Corfu huged by the lush green forests and verdurous hills. The beach itself is quite inviting for its crystalline waters and the white shiny pebbles. In the past it was actually awarded with the Blue Flag for its cleanness and organization.
At the beach you will find plenty of sunbeds, umbrellas and watersports facilities. Small tour boats are also available for a short and exciting trip to the bearby bays. Taverns and bars dominate the wider area serving delicious Corfiot flavors and cold drinks.
There are many different ways to get to Barbati from any location on the island.
Airport to Barbati: 20.3 km / 12.6 miles | New Port to Barbati: 18 km / 11.1 miles | Corfu Town to Barbati: 19 km / 11.8 miles
Private transfers: We recommend using an online pre-booked Corfu transfer service, which provides transfer by taxi, minibus or private VIP car and arranging a pickup directly from the airport, port or your hotel. Car rental: Τhere’s the option of renting a car in Corfu with as little as 12 euros per day and pick it up directly from the airport, port or your hotel. Using a car rental allows visitors to discover Barbati and many other places of interest in Corfu at their own pace.
By Public transfers: The central bus station of the island is located at Corfu Town. There are several buses from Corfu Town to Barbati during the day. Consider that time schedules might change according to the season. Check the official timetables here.
From Airport to Barbati: There’s a bus station outside the airport building. There are several buses from the airport to Corfu Town during the day. From Corfu Town, visitors should follow the route Town > Barbati - Nissaki. Check the official timetables of the route Airport > Corfu Town here.
From New Port to Barbati: There’s a bus station at the port. There are several buses from the port to Corfu Town during the day. From Corfu Town, visitors should follow the route Town > Barbati - Nissaki. Check the official timetables of the route Port > Corfu Town here.
