Satisfied with Greeka but bad experience with rental company

I was satisfied with Greeka company, but I had a bad experience with rent company, they gave me bad car (damaged) and when I returned the car, they want extra fee for cleaning, they said, the car was too dirty and the member of the staff was rude, when I refused the payment.

After receiving your review we contacted the car rental agent "Naxosway" who informed us that the vehicle given to you was in perfect condition, a Nissan Micra model of 2015 with less than
30000 km. They confirmed that they never ask for a cleaning fee but that in your case they asked for such because the car was returned
very dirty and full of sand. They also told us that they apologize if they were rude and that it was probably due to seeing the car in such a bad state. In the end, as they confirmed, they did not charge you a cleaning fee.

Excellent car rental experience from Athens

I booked the car for 15 days with pickup at Athens airport. Everything went perfectly. The rental representative waited in the arrival hall with my name on the paper. The handover took place in 10 minutes. Fiat GrandePunto (6 years old) was in excellent condition. We appreciated that it was a diesel car. I traveled 1600 km with low fuel consumption. Returning the car also without any problems. At the agreed time, the rental representative was on site and in 3 minutes. everything was done. Great experience and very professional approach. Good job. Thank you. This was 3rd or 4th experience with Greeka.com and always great satisfaction.

I returned from Greece on Thursday. I must say you did an excellent job. All of my transfers, pick-ups, drop-offs, hotels etc went through without a problem. Greeka TERRIBLE

While the ferry rides themselves were quite pleasant and very much on-time, your ticketing service was TERRIBLE. We much enjoyed our 3 week journey through Greece, including Crete, Santorini and Mykonos; BUT you screwed up 2 of the 3 ferry reservations which I had to spend a lot of time cleaning up.
First, the Heraklion to Thira -- the line was changed to another boat company altogether;
Second, Mykonos to Athens (Rafina) I only learned of the almost 4 hour time change when I went to a ticket office in Heraklion to request they give me a printout of the reservation. As I left the shop, I noticed the big time change and spent a couple hours over the following week, via email and via going to your ticket offices, to try to change the booking to one closer in time to the one that I had originally booked. Finally a very nice agent at one of another ticket office made the change for us .

I will not ever recommend GREEKA for travel reservations.

We are not the ferry companies who changed your schedules. Concerning your trip Heraklion to Thira, you had booked to depart with Highspeed 7 which was sold to Minoan lines and renamed to Santorini Palace. The only thing that basically changed was the name of the vessel and we informed you on time via email for this change. Concerning your trip with Hellenic Seaways from Mykonos to Rafina, as you had printed the tickets about a week before the trip date you saw the information about the changed departure time before Hellenic Seaways had informed us about it. Regrettably since you had the tickets in your hands and you were already in Mykonos the best solution was to amend the tickets locally at the central office of Hellenic Seaways to an earlier departure rather to send them back to us in Piraeus in order to be able to amend them for you and risk that you would not receive the new tickets on time for your new departure. We are happy that you changed them locally at the central office as we instructed you.

Booking through Greeka.com was really easy and worked well in practice as we got our tickets at the port etc. The website works well unlike some other ferry ticket sites. They were very good at sending updates when the ferry times changed. The admin and booking fee felt a bit high and would be good if this was lower.

- Follow up: We do not only sell you ferry tickets. We follow-up your trip and inform you by email and SMS if your ferry is delayed or canceled. If it is canceled we propose you alternative solutions in order for you to reach your destination without delays or extra charges and take care of all new ferry bookings that have to be made (with the same ferry company or another).
