Travel to Parga by bus
Most people go to Parga by bus. There are buses leaving from Ioannina, Igoumenitsa, Athens, Thessaloniki and other Greek cities and go to Parga. Occasionally the trip is direct, but in most cases it has to be done via Preveza, the capital of the prefecture.
The trip by bus from Athens to Parga is done via Preveza, which means that travelers have to go from Athens to Preveza and then take another bus from Preveza to Parga. Daily buses to Preveza/Parga depart from Kifissos Bus Station in Athens (Bus 051 Omonoia-Kifissos and X93 Athens Airport-Kifissos). The trip from Athens to Preveza is about 5 hours and from Preveza to Parga about 1 hour. The road there is safe and convenient.
Travel to Parga by car
To travel from Athens to Parga by car, you follow the National Highway Athens-Patras. After you cross the cable bridge of Rio-Antirrio, you continue to Mesolongi, Agrinio and Preveza. Parga is about 1 hour drive after Preveza, on the road to Igoumenitsa. In the middle of the road from Preveza to Igoumenitsa, you will see signs to Parga.
To go from Thessaloniki to Parga by car, you follow the Egnatia Odos from Thessaloniki to Igoumenitsa and then the National Road from Igoumenitsa to Preveza. Parga is about 1 hour from Igoumenitsa. In the middle of the road from Igoumenitsa to Preveza, you will see signs to Parga.
