General information

Kokkari beach Samos: Just in front of the most popular tourist resort of Samos, this beach has quickly gained reputation. Located 10 km northwest of Vathy, this is a beach where visitors have the opportunity to enjoy the deep blue waters of the Aegean Sea and the natural beauty of the island.

Kokkari beach is covered with white pebbles that reach the shore and in some parts it has sand. It is organized with umbrellas and sundecks and a beach bar offering snacks and cold drinks throughout the day. Kokkari as well as other beaches are ideal for sports like windsurfing, since the area is very windy and creates the perfect conditions for these kind of water sports. The beach is surrounded by accommodation options to suit all tastes and budgets. A line of fresh fish taverns also line the beach.

Windy and clean Kokkari

Kokkari is one of the best resorts in Samos. It is very organized and not crowded, probably because we usually go on early June. It was our third time on Samos this year and we always stay in Kokkari. You can find lovely rooms to rent there at very reasonable prices. The beach is great and clean, just a bit windy some evenings.
