There is no airport on the island of Fourni. The closest airports are found in the neighboring islands of Samos and Ikaria. The airport of Ikaria works only in summer and receives flights from Athens. The airport of Samos works all year round and receives flights from Athens, Thessaloniki and charter flights from abroad. From both Samos and Ikaria, visitors can take the ferry to Fourni island.
There are ferries to Fourni from Piraeus, the largest port of Athens, 3 times a week. Due to the large distance and the many stops, the ferry trip is long and lasts about 9 hours. These ferries also connect Fourni to other Eastern Aegean islands, including Samos and Ikaria. In summer, there are also daily local boats from Agios Kirikos Ikaria or Vathi Samos to Fourni. These boats carry only passengers (while normal ferries also carry motorbikes and cars) and the trip lasts about 1 hour.
