Taking place on the island of Samos, Ireon Music Festival is an annual three-day-long event, filled with talented musicians from all over Greece and international music acts. A crossover between the worlds of rock, pop, rap, folk, and electronic music, Ireon first started back in 2003 and quickly gained notoriety due to its qualitative performances and affordable tickets. Even though it began as an initiative of a couple of locals, Ireon Festival has become a household name amongst art institutions in Greece.
Hosting various international bands, such as rock band The Stranglers, reggae band Inner Circle, and electro-pop stars Covenant, as well as various big-name Greek artists, like Thanasis Papakonstantinou, Planet of Zeus and Imam Baildi, this music event takes place during early August. It was only in 2020 and 2021 that it took a break because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
