About ferries to Samos
The island of Samos has two main ports, Vathy and Karlovassi. In summer, there are also few ferries to Pythagorion, a small port in the south side of Samos.
There is a frequent ferry to Samos from Piraeus port, the main port of Athens, about 3-4 times per week. This ferry to Samos takes about 12 to 15 hours, depending on the vessel and the route. In summer, there is also an occasional ferry to Samos from Kavala, a mainland port in Northern Greece.
Also note that in summer months, there are daily ferries from Samos to Kusadasi (Turkey). Ferries depart from Vathy in the morning and return from Kusadasi in the evening.
