August 15th
The largest feast for the Assumption of Virgin takes place in Agiasos village. There are traditional food and wine accompanied by live music.
Saint Theodoros
The first Saturday of the Lent is the celebration of Agios Theodoros, the patron saint of Lesvos island. The event takes place in Mytilene.
Cultural events
Bull Feast
The Bull's Feast takes place on Friday after Easter at the village of Agia Paraskevi. The feast consists of horse-racing and traditional dancing.
Carnival
On Shrove Monday, at the village of Mandamados, the locals celebrate the carnival with a great feast and the revival of the traditional fishing way.
