The Archaeological Museum of Lemnos, Eastern Aegean: The Archaeological Museum of Lemnos was established in 1963. It is housed in a three-storey Neoclassical mansion located in Romeikos Gialos, close to the High School. It houses exhibits from excavations of the Italian Archaeological School in the ancient sites of Poliochni, Kavirio, Ifestia and other spots all over the island.
The tour at the museum follows the historical periods of Lemnos. At the ground floor, there are exhibits from the prehistoric period and the Age of Copper. There are also marble statues and funeral styles. On the second floor, there are exhibits that date from the Classical period of Lemnos, from the 8th till the 6th century B.C.
