Makris Gialos beach Lemnos: Makris Gialos is an exquisite sandy beach located 36 km from Myrina, the capital town and 7 km from Moudros. The beach has crystal clear waters and it stretches to several kilometres.
It is good for bathing and ideal for wind surfing because of the constant winds. There is also some greenery along the side of the beach. If you are looking for a natural serene location away from the charged atmosphere of massive tourism, Makris Gialos would be an excellent choice. Poliochni is an important historical site, close to which are found many hotel facilities. In close distance are the villages of Roussopouli and Kaminia.
