Halari Gorge of Ikaria: Halari Gorge is an exquisite natural region close Armenistis village and the beach of Nas, about 50 km to the north west of Agios Kirikos, the capital of Ikaria. This area is full of small lakes, narrow rivers, and waterfalls. It is a great area for trekking, as old, stone bridges connect the trekking paths to each other.
The flora of Halari Gorge consists mainly of plane trees and short bushes. The fauna is also interesting, as beautiful birds have their nests in this area. A trekking path connects Nas beach with the village of Jesus Rachon, a mountainous village amphitheatrically built with traditional architecture.
