Religious Festival for Saint Miropi

A religious celebration will take place on Chios, on the eve of the name day of Agia Miropi. A litany of part of the holy body of the saint and  her holy icon will be held on December 1st, 6 o'clock in the evening, in the Church of Agios Isidoros, Vrontados village, on Chios. Agia Miropi died for her Christian faith on Chios, where she lived with her mother, in the 3rd century A.D. Her memory is celebrated with great festivity on the island every year, on December 2nd.
