A unique film festival that travels you across the Aegean islands!

From August 28 to August 29, the wonderful Chios island is going to host the fifth Festival of Traditional Dances.

Traditional Dance Festival will be organized thanks to the Association for the Preservation of Cultural Heritage of Chios “Dancing Chians” in cooperation with the non-profit organization “Plegma”.

Since the Medieval times, mastic has been the trademark of Chios. This resin in the shape of teardrop that comes from the bark of the mastic trees has been an important source of wealth for the island for many centuries now.

The Byzantine Museum of Chios opened again a few days ago and it is housed in the Metzitie Mosque, Chios Town.

The creation of the first Mastic Museum in the world will soon be a reality and of course the island of Chios will be the host.

The 5th Agrotourism Festival of Chios will be held this year from August 6th to 11th, 2009.
