General information

Karfas Beach Chios: The beach of Karfas lies 5 km south of Chios Town, in front of the seaside settlement. It is the largest tourist resort of the island and every summer it receives many visitors. The beach has fine sand and clean waters and offers all the needed tourist facilities such as sun beds, umbrellas and water sports equipments for rent. Large hotel units, inns and rented rooms are surrounding the beach as well as bars, cafes, night clubs and restaurants.

Clean water and many people

Karfas is one of the few organized beaches on Chios. The island is generally not known for its beaches, but for its villages and nice flora. On Karfas, you will find a combination of clean water and popularity. There are many hotels around the beach and all tourists get down to the beach from eearly in the morning. Morewover, it is close to the capital, which brings more people. My advice: as the island is very big, do not go many times in one beach, see all of them. Even if some are not organized, they are worth to visit.
