General Description

The tour starts once our luxury minibus has picked you up from your accommodation and takes you to all the most significant sights of the town center. Exploring the historical sights of Rhodes is a mind-blowing experience, and it’s even more so as the sun sets, casting marvelous shades of light on the medieval city of Rhodes.

During our comprehensive tour, we will first pass by the three remaining Windmills standing near the harbor. There used to be more, probably around 14, which ground the grains brought by incoming ships. The ones you can still see have been extensively restored and lend themselves to great pictures.

After that, we will drive you through the renowned Mandraki Port, which has served as a harbor since ancient times. This place, which once hosted the fleet of the Knights of Rhodes, is now home to numerous yachts. Of course, you will also have the chance to marvel at the majestic Italian-built fortifications of the Old Town, which will take you on an unforgettable journey through time.

On either side of the Mandraki Port entrance stand the sculptures of the two Rhodian deer, a stag and a doe, as an elegant symbol of the island. It is here that the statue of the Colossus, one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, is believed to have towered over the harbor.

Passing from the hill of Monte Smith, with its ruins of the Temple of Apollo, the imposing open-air Ancient Stadium and the Amphitheater, you will be able to take in the breathtaking view of the City and the sea shore. Visiting these remnants of the Acropolis of Rhodes of the island’s rich history as the sunlight begins to fade makes for a uniquely alluring experience.

Our 1.5-hour tour ends outside one of the main gates of the Old Town, which has been declared a UNESCO monument of World Cultural Heritage.

Last but not least, you can stroll around the Medieval City for another 30 minutes, along the Street of the Knights, and up to the stunning Grand Master’s Palace under the direction of our Official Guide. Thus, you will have the opportunity to soak up the enchanting atmosphere of the romantic streets and alleys and sample traditional recipes to the accompaniment of live Greek music.

After dinner, at around 21:00, you can choose either to continue listening and dancing to Greek music or spend more time taking a leisurely walk through the streets of the Old Town.

This splendid night tour ends at approximately 22:00, when the bus will take you back to your hotel.
