The first Road to Rhodes Marathon, with the support of the Greek Athletics Federation and the Municipality of Rhodes, will take place on Sunday, October 12th. The event aims to attract Marathon runners, amateur athletes and visitors from all over the world to this unique Greek island.
This running event consists of 3 official races: the Marathon, the Half Marathon and a 10km race. All these races offer runners the opportunity to familiarise with the Ancient and Medieval history of Rhodes and explore its beautiful landscape with the bright green hills and valleys, the golden beaches and the deep blue sea.
All Roads to Rhodes Marathon races terminate at Aktaion in Rhodes Town and start from different points, depending on the race length. All races will follow the same scenic route along the sea coast in an optimal flat course with no hills and uneven sections and will finish in the town centre of Rhodes. The time limit for Marathon runners is 6 hours. There is also a 5 km race on the same route, without timing.
The age limit for the Full Marathon is 18 years, whereas for the Half Marathon 15 years.
