Rhodes Summer Festival 2023

The 10th Rhodes Summer Festival has been home to plenty of live music shows and stage plays, uniting the people of Rhodes and its visitors since its inception in 2013.

Organized by Dimitris Michalos and Fantasia Productions, Rhodes Summer Festival hosts a large number of theatrical plays and music concerts every year, covering a wide spectrum of tastes. Various high-praise names of the Greek art scene, such as Kostis Maraveyas, Stavros Xarchakos, Psarantonis, and legendary actress Karmen Rouggeri (along with her troupe) have performed in the festival, which is usually hosted near Rhodes Town, in places such as the Diagoras Municipal Stadium and the Medieval Moat Theater.

A supplementary festival goal is to raise awareness around social issues through donations and social actions, making them an integral part of the festival’s activities. In addition, Rhodes Summer Festival won a Tourism Award in 2019 in the Strategy and Innovation/Tourism and Civilization category.

Starting this year, the festival will expand to the islands of Kos and Nisyros, creating a more unified cultural experience that stretches among the Dodecanese. Furthermore, 2023’s festival will include famous Greek musicians Thanassis Papakonstantinou, Natassa Bofiliou, Giannis Aggelakas, and international legend Goran Bregovic, among many others.
