Ecofilms Festival 2010

The Ecofilms Festival of Rhodes celebrates its 12th anniversary this year with 100 movies from 47 countries. The festival will take place from June 22nd to 27th and the cinemasists present various aspects of the environmental problems, such as light pollution, the pollution of rivers and lakes, the disappearance of rare animals and the dramatic reduction of first materials. All these problems are seen sometimes with sangfroid and knowledge and some other times with wrath.

The festival opens with the documentary "Eyes Wide Open: Exploring present South America". Special oblations have been planned for the Indian cinema and modern architecture. Also the festival could not ignore the beauties of the hosting island. That is why short 2-minute movies will be presented during the festival with scenes from Rhodes.
