Tour to Symi island and Panormitis Monastery

Known as one of the most picturesque and traditional islands of the Dodecanese as well as of Greece, Simi is a destination of unique charm -and our daily excursion will make you understand why. With its rich cultural and historical past, elegant architecture and natural beauty, Simi stands out as an island you must not miss to visit.

Our tour starts at 09.00 and we disembark at the port, where visitors will have 3 ½ hours of free time to explore the capital. Do not miss to stroll through the picturesque backstreets and admire the traditional buildings, as well as visit the numerous souvenir shops, enjoy your coffee under the bright sun and dive into the sparkling waters.

Next on, we gather at the port once again (at the time arranged during the morning departure) to visit the renowned monastery of the Archangel Michael Panormitis that is located at the southeastern part of the island. We remain at the spot for 1 hour, to admire the impressive temples that date back from the 18th century and learn about the miraculous Saint – the view to the bay is also breathtaking.

Afterward, we return to Simi for further exploration and leave the island arriving back to Rhodes at approximately 18:30.

As always, do not forget to wear comfortable shoes for walking as well as carry hats and sun protection. Supply yourself with swimsuits, towels and make sure you have your camera with you, as well as enough money for the tickets and the shopping costs!
