Patmos Festival 2010

The special vibes of this small island was the inspirational source for this first Festival of Patmos that will take place from July 19th to July 25th. This island is not only an ideal tourist destination, but it also carries a rich historical and cultural background, it is a meeting point for the people of arts. The schedule of the festival includes 10 long movies, 20 short movies and 9 documentaries. The screenings will take place in a specially-designed external space in the port of Skala and in the Old School of Chora. Some events are dedicated to the poet Robert Lax, who lived and died on Patmos. Among the films to be presented will be Arcadia Lost (2009) by Phedon Papamicheal, starring Nick Nolte and filmed in Arcadia Peloponnese.
