General information

Diakofti is a secluded beach in the homonymous bay of Diakofti, about 3.5 km south of Chora. Featuring a stretch of sand adorned with pebbles and crystalline waters, the area of the beach is characterized by its untamed natural environment. Small hills surround the beach and tamarisk trees are spread throughout, affording this spot an enchanting ambiance. Moreover, the bay is located on the narrowest part of the island, allowing you to see both the western and eastern coasts.

Because of its isolated nature, Diakofti Beach remains completely unorganized. There are no sunbeds or umbrellas provided, nor any other facilities. There is, however, a traditional tavern overlooking the southern side of the beach that serves delicious Mediterranean meals. About 300 meters from the shore, you will find the small chapel of Stavros, presenting an all-white exterior. Just behind the chapel lies the eastern bay and anchorage of Stavros.
