Location: Agia Marina

The Church of Agia Marina in Leros, Dodecanese: The homonymous village was named after the beautiful church of Agia Marina in Leros. Standing only 100m from the port, this beautiful church was constructed in the 1930s. It has a nice facade and two bell towers on each side.

The facade of the church has been built with black carved rocks from the tiny, uninhabited islet of Levithia and with red mosaic rocks from the bay of Kryfo. This lovely church celebrates on July 17th and a large religious festival (panigiri) takes place.
