Kos Asomatos

General information

Asomatos Village Kos: Asomatos is a picturesque village lying on the slopes of Dikeos Mountain. It is located 14 km from the centre of Kos and is one of the quietest settlements of Kos, totally untouched by tourism.

Its strong traditional layout is a combination of whitewashed houses and narrow paved alleys which emit an old charm and tempt the visitors to wonder around this small village. Asomatos is surrounded by a vast area of lush vegetation, olive groves and vineyards. It provides good trekking routes, for the nature lovers.

The 11th century church of Agioi Asomati (meaning saints with no bodies) dominates the village, giving the area its name. It is also worth visiting the Church of Evangelistria which stands at the center of the settlement.
