In brief, Kos has a few suburban buses connecting the town and the airport to key settlements, as well as city buses for the capital. Moving by bus is budget-friendly and many itineraries are available during the day.

Bus ticket fares vary, depending on the type of bus and the destination.
For example, suburban routes cost between €2.30 and €5.20. Moreover, urban route tickets can be bought while hopping onto the bus!

Condition

All buses are modern and are equipped with air-conditioning and adequate ventilation systems. KTEL buses also offer plenty of luggage space without any additional cost!

Frequency

Urban buses pass by several bus stops in Kos Town, where you can hail to one and it will stop and pick you up. Bus stops for KTEL buses are available at each destination, as well as some spots between the main villages.

Buses are available throughout the year, though itineraries are more frequent during summer to serve the island's visitors as well.
