Karpathos Volada

General information

Volada Village Karpathos: The mountainous village of Volada is located 10 km nothwest of Pigadia, the capital of Karpathos and close to Aperi. This picturesque settlement is built among trees, where traditional whitewashed houses of typical Karpathian architecture with colourful flower yards and neoclassical villas adorn the entire village.

The ruins of three castles stand like guardians protecting the village. From the hill, visitors will enjoy a nice view to Pigadia. If you are fond of walking, then this is the ideal place or you, right before you enter the village there are certain paths leading at the top of the mountain Kali Limni, meaning Good Lake.
