General information

Myrties Village Kalymnos: This lovely village lies 8 km north west of Pothia, the capital and main port of Kalymnos. It owns its name to the many myrtle-trees embellishing the village. Imposing hills emerge behind this picturesque settlement creating a fabulous backdrop. Lovely traditional houses appear between the narrow alleyways which are ideal for a long walk during which you will find a few accommodations, several cafes and taverns serving delicious meals.

For swimming you shall visit the main beach of Myrties, very close to the settlement. The village offers gorgeous views across the islet of Telendos. Ferries serve daily connections to the picturesque islet and others make short trips to the nearby beaches and Kefala cave.
