General information

Galissas Village in Syros is a cosmopolitan resort located on the western coast of Syros. It is also the place where the island's only campsites are located.

Its long sandy beach, Galissas Beach, offers beautiful sunset views attracting numerous visitors every summer.
Moreover, every summer, the little picturesque port of the village gets filled with boats and traditional caiques.

The remains of a Venetian castle and the beautiful churches like the in-cave chapel of Agios Stefanos are worth visiting. You can get there by boat or via a quaint path.

Galissas is easily accessible even if you don't have private means of transportation, as it is connected with Ermoupolis and the other tourist areas via local buses.
