General information

Ai Michalis in Syros is a mountainous village on the island's northern side, surrounded by water springs and verdant nature. Its name means "Saint Michael" and owes it to the Catholic church of Saint Michael which is located on a hill above the village. Small in size, Ai Michalis has stone houses, paved streets, and picturesque taverns.

North of the village lies the Cave of Mentonis; even northern stands the lighthouse of Diapori, but the road is a dirt road and only jeeps can go through it.

The road from Ermoupolis to Ai Michalis is narrow and windy, but you get to see the unexplored part of Syros island, away from the tourist resorts.
