International Music Festival 2010

The International Music Festival of Cyclades for 2010 will take place in August on the beautiful island of Syros Cyclades. This summer, the festival will take place from August 13th-28th and as every time, artists from Greece and abroad will perform works of classical music with different musical instruments. The festival started 6 years ago by four musicians who founded a non-profit organization. It grew quickly with the participation of international artists who were invited to perform.

The festival takes place in Apollo Theatre, Ermoupolis town, and it is considered as one of the top classic music festivals in Greece. Apart from this festival, the organization also runs a musical academy for 2010, which aims to despence knowledge to talented young musicians and the create a musical community. There will be masterclasses for violin, viola, cello, doublebase, flute, clarinet and voice by renowned teachers. Training programmes will last for 10 days.
