International Classical Music Festival of Cyclades 2023

Aug 06, 2023 — Aug 13, 2023 • Category: Events
Location: Ermoupolis

The Cyclades International Classical Music Festival was inaugurated in 2004 and is held annually in Ermoupolis, the capital of the Cyclades. It is organized under the auspices of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports and the Greek National Tourism Organization.
Its logo was designed by the infamous Greek painter Alekos Fassianos.

The festival's goal is to revive the musical traditions of past centuries and offer an unparalleled experience to lovers of classical music. During the 18 years of its existence, several lauded ensembles and soloists from different countries have performed at it, including the world-renowned Greek violinist Leonidas Kavakos.

All events are held in the impressive Apollo Theater, an architectural gem at the heart of Hermoupolis, dating back to the 19th century. The theater is a miniature replica of La Scala di Milano, one of the most emblematic opera houses in the world.
