Anima Syros Festival 2013

The 6th Anima Syros Festival will take place this year from September 26th to 29th, 2013 and will include short film and animation competitions, workshops and special screenings. Events and screenings will take place in Apollo Theatre of Syros, at the Cultural Centre of Ermoupolis, Miaouli Square and at the University of the Aegean.

Many animation production companies and film students will participate in this International Animation Festival and Forum. The program will be announced in the next days, as participations are still open.

Very interesting is the mascot of the festival, a Cycladic caricature inspired by the famous small statues of ancient Cycladic civilization and with references to the director Woody Allen. This mascot was designed by Petros Christoulias and developed in 3D by Konstantinos Petrou. At the promo video of the festival, the mascot is traveling by boat in the Aegean and upon the arrival at the port of Syros, the signal for the festival's opening is given.
