Sifnos Kamares

General information

Kamares Village Sifnos: Kamares is the port of Sifnos, a beautiful coastal settlement which lies in the western side of the island. It serves ferries from Piraeus and the nearby islands. The village is quite developed with huge tourist movement during the summer period.

The central settlement lies on the right side of Kamares bay including many services for the tourists, accommodation, pastry shops and other kinds of shops. Sifnos is one of the best-known ceramic production centers in Greece, therefore you will find many pottery workshops.

The village itself consists of white Cycladic houses and terrific buildings that are worth visiting. A walk along the Kamares waterfront reveals a number of fine taverns, cafes and bars for relaxing afternoons and exciting nights. Some of the oldest churches are found here with nice frescoes and icons. The beach of Kamares is a nice sandy beach with watersports facilities.

A municipal tourist office just opposite the quay offers all the information about accommodation, buses schedules and offers luggage storage.
