Sifnos Faros

General information

Faros Village Sifnos: Faros village is a quaint small fishing hamlet located 7 km from Apollonia, the capital of Sifnos. Faros means lighthouse and it actually took its name from the lighthouse that stands at the right side of the port.

The little settlement consists of white traditional houses and narrow paved streets. It offers numerous restaurants, local shops and accommodation to choose for your stay while it is surrounded by some beautiful beaches like Fasolou, the main beach of Faros and Glyfos.

A remarkable church lies right on the water's edge overlooking the bay of Fasolou and is worth visiting. Faros village is the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing stay tainted by strong traditional colours and atmosphere.
