In Sifnos, the origin island of the famous Greek chef Nikos Tselementes, the 6th Festival of Traditional Cycladic Cooking will take place in the central square of Artemonas from September 6th to 8th. This year, the festival also celebrates the completion of 100 years since the first edition of Tselementes, the cook book that almost every Greek family has in the library.
Kiosks from all the islands of Cyclades will be set in the square of Artemonas, where visitors will be offered traditional delicacies prepared daily from the festival's participants. Every afternoon, the participants will bring various dishes that will be judged by a chef committee. In the festival's competition part, children can also take place and prepare healthy dishes on the spot.
The festival starts every day at 18:30 and apart from the demonstration of traditional dishes and desserts, there will also be presentation of traditional arts, like pottery and weaving. After 21:00, local groups will present dancing performances with traditional costums and music from Cyclades.
