Religious feasts & festivals
On 15th of August, the feast day of Virgin Mary, the biggest celebration in the Christian calendar. There are festivities in many monasteries and churches of Sifnos and every part of Greece.
Two Fridays after Easter is the celebration of Panagia Chrissopighi, the protector of Sifnos island. This is the most important religious festival on the island and attracts many visitors from neighboring islands. Read more.
