The local wines of Serifos are rather special, as they have an intense aroma and flavor. The island of Serifos is also well known for its honey, bread, sweets, and almonds. Also, very nice dishes are the loutza (sun-baked pork with sun-dried tomatoes), revithada (which consists of baked chickpeas) and the traditional marathotiganites, fried fennel and cheeses pancakes.
Moreover, honey is one of the top local products of Serifos. Apart from being sold in its pure form, the locals cook a great variety of honey-based sweets and other honey related dishes.
