General information

Sikamia Beach Serifos: Sikamia is one of the most secluded beaches of Serifos located 10 km north west of Chora. It is on the north-west corner of the island, and has two small anchorages: Aspri Lagada, and Skala. It is sandy and pebbly, and counts on good trees that provide comfortable shade.

The most characteristic features it offers are solitude and privacy, due to its far location from Livadi. However, it is close to the village of Galani, which hosts the Taxiarchon Monastery, one of the most important historical sites of the island and Platis Gialos bay. Sikamia has also some nice unspoilt beaches nearby, as well as the quiet fishing ports of Koutalas and Megalo Livadi, in south west direction.

These locations are usually recommended for those who do not like big crowds and get tired of places like the relatively overcrowded Livadi. On the other hand, unlike many other beaches in Greece, there is not much information available about Sikamia due to its remoteness. So this fact can be taken as an advantage for those who like discovering and exploring not so known places.

The tranquil and peaceful atmosphere of this location is ideal for relaxing and leaving the hustle, the problems, and the noise of the city behind. However, in the case of Sikamia beach, its location does not mean it lacks of facilities, as it counts on a cafe restaurant.
