General information

Agios Sostis Beach Serifos:It is common for many islands in Greece to count on tiny pebbled seashores, which in many cases are neither safe enough for children nor nice for going for a stroll.

However, islands like Serifos, do not share those kinds of drawbacks. Agios Sostis is mainly recommended for those who enjoy peace, but do not like isolation, and want to have easy access to crowded places as well. Therefore, apart from being one of the best reputed beaches on Serifos, Agios Sostis has a very suitable location.

First of all, it is at 6 km east of Livadi, meaning that it has an easy access to all many facilities. Livadi is the port of Serifos offering numerous amusing places and various types of accommodation. To get there from Livadi, you should take the main road, which turns into dirt just before the beach. Then, it is necessary to leave the car at the parking lot and walk around 200 m to reach the water.

Moreover, Agios Sostis beach allows for enjoying other beaches as well. For example, when travelling north from the eastern coast, you come across the sandy beach of Lia, the neighbouring Psili Ammos, and also Agios Ioannis beach.

In case of planning an excursion, you must also include the beaches of Lavrakia and Karavi. Remember to look for Agios Sostis church, below which the beach is located, and visit also the one at Agios Ioannis.

Regarding the features of Agios Sostis, it is a nice shingle and sandy beach. The picturesque church is located on the edge of a cliff and is an ideal place for enjoying peace and relaxing. Although the port of Livadi is not very well reputed among those who love peaceful beaches, because of the high activity, the rest of the beaches included on this settlement do not share this little inconvenience.
