There is no airport in Schinoussa. The closest airport is located on the island of Naxos. The airport of Naxos serves daily flights from Athens and the flight time is about 35 min. In summer there are also few flights to Naxos from Thessaloniki, but no charters or international flights. From Naxos visitors then can take the ferry to Schinoussa that takes less than 2 hours.
There are ferries from the port of Piraeus in Athens to Schinoussa 3 times a week, connecting also Schinoussa with other islands of Cyclades. The trip with the normal ferry from Athens to Schinoussa lasts for 8 hours. There is also the local ferry Express Skopelitis that runs daily (except Sunday) between Naxos, Amorgos, Schinoussa, Donoussa, Iraklia and Koufonisia. This ferry is very convenient even for a day trip from Naxos or Amorgos to Schinoussa.
