Marina Taliadourou and Giannis Vlantonopoulos run the 1260 Ceramic studio on Santorini island and create unique handcrafted decoration and tableware objects using distinctive techniques. Their work is made up of once-fired high-temperature ceramics (1260oC) decorated by porcelain and olive ash glazes, ceramics fired in a technique of raku and tableware pots.
Each ceramic artifact is the result of personal design and meticulous work made by hand in every stage of the process. In their workshop and exhibition space, you will find contemporary artwork ceramics, tableware functional artifacts and traditional Greek forms. Alongside the finished artworks, you will have an opportunity to observe the ceramic production process and, if you wish, participate too. Their interesting studio is located in Megalochori.
