Santorini by night is on another level. The island is lively every summer night. But have you ever thought about participating in a night hike and walking along the Fira-Oia trail with no one around?
The only official night hike in Santorini is happening! After picking you up from your accommodation, a convenient vehicle will offer you a relaxing drive to the Prophet Elias, which is situated on the top of a hill.
The location is ideal for admiring the orange sun as it sinks below the horizon and the wonderful intense colors of the sky.
When the sun disappears, get ready to light your torch and start your hike toward Fira.
Walking the trail during the nighttime allows you to use some of its parts that are bustling during the daytime.
As you hihke, you can stop at various viewpoints that let you admire the lit-up Santorini and te volcano, which is quite visible, even at night.
After reaching Fira, Assyrtiko Restaurant will be waiting to welcome you for a well-deserved dinner.
Four local wines will be offered for wine tasting, including the renowned Vinsanto, while you are informed about the local wine history and culture.
Then, several palatable homemade dishes featuring local recipes will be served.
After the dinner, the vehicle that picked you up will conveniently transfer you back to your accommodation.
Everyone can participate in the activity since no previous hiking experience is needed!
Including hotel pick-up and drop-off, the activity takes around 4 hours. The hike lasts 1.5 - 2 hours, depending on your walking speed and how often you stop.
