Flyboarding and hover boarding
Both new additions to the world of extreme watersports, the flyboarding experience includes a turbine on a small board. Through the water pressure that the turbine creates, you will fly several meters above the sea while also changing directions as you move your body. Similarly, hoverboarding is also based around a water turbine, launching you to about 8 meters above the waters while reaching top speeds of around 40km/h!
Here are some choices for trying these watersports in Santorini:
-The first selection is a flyboarding session on Agios Georgios beach, in the southern part of the island. This experience can last 15 or 30 minutes (depending on your selection), and the meeting point is on Agios Georgios Beach. The guides available are fluent in English andamp? Greek and will offer all the help you need throughout your flyboarding expeditions. It is open from May through October, and everybody is more than welcome!
- Option number two is a flyboard experience near Perivolos beach. It lasts about 10 to 20 minutes, and its meeting point is located on Perivolos beach. The expert helpers (English and Greek speaking) will tell you everything you need to know before you indulge in this activity! It is open from April to October, and you need to be a minimum of 16 years of age in order to join. This session also includes the flyboard equipment and a wetsuit, if necessary.
There is an alternative flyboarding choice at Perivolos beach, too. It offers visitors either 15 or 30 minutes on the board, and the meeting point is located near Mera Beach. Expert helpers speaking English and Greek will help you with anything you need! The activity center opens its gates from May to October, and there is no age recommendation or limit. However, it may be tricky for non-sporty people.
